I have a very specific box idea that I have found to be quite unique in this country. The reason I've come to this conclusion is because I approached a number of well-known, established box manufacturers, they responded that they do not do these boxes.
This was both a challenge and a relief for me. Initially I was excited at the realisation of the fact that they were clearly a new idea - if it were for the reason that they weren't a sought after item, then I would seen it via the channels I researched.
The challenge arose now that I shift have a supplier.
Thanks to I Know A Guy, I have found two possible manufacturers of the box - I'm thrilled with their speedy responses.
I'm now at a wall unfortunately. I need capital to create a few varieties of these boxes, try out a few of the ideas I have in mind and then show them to the stockists I have in mind.
My business has actually made a few sales already. I promoted a few themed baskets. Everyone was very happy with the product and service so I feel I have a client base to approach with this "Foxy Box" that I want Rio launch.
I want to have a range of "exploding boxes" that cater for each person's needs. For example, in restaurants. I sat in a cafe once and on their table they had a little box with cards that tested your knowledge on coffee and cakes. It was so enjoyable and interesting to have something to do while we waited for our order. These little boxes were from Europe somewhere....
What i want to do is put miniature items in this explosion box, so as each wall of the box falls, there will be a mini pack of cards on the one wall, play dough on the second wall, a trivia pack on the 3rd and a pack of joke cards on the fourth, for example.
These can be used to entertain little busy bodies while parents try have a meal as they will be made age appropriate, and also for the more upmarket restaurants, something to entertain the adult guests while they wait.
Restaurants are just one of the places I intend to launch this. Doctor's waiting rooms is another example, toy stores, companies - to create brand awareness, hotels to give as gifts to guests so they can take a bit of Africa home with them....
I believe the sky is the limit.
